Central Asian Consulting Agency Ltd. (the Company) was established in June, 2003, by a group of ex- employees of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan. The main reason for the Company’ establishment was to bid for, and to work under internationally-funded sector studies in Kazakhstan, either as a legal entity, or by providing individual inputs of consultants hired by the Company.
Today the key areas of the company’s expertise are:
institutional development of public sector organisations;
programme development, performance monitoring and assessment; and
financial and economic assessment of projects (planning, monitoring and post-completion).
The main focus of activities has been placed on transport sector (road, rail, air, sea, river, and urban). In 2005-2006 the Company provided its expertise in two new areas, namely public governance and information management systems.
